Description
the old pond is a painting created by a computer program “Miranda” written by Matias Nordin. Mirandas architecture belong to the group Generative Adversarial Networks, where two neural networks challenge each other. Miranda has been challenged to paint landscapes. Although Miranda has never seen a real painting nor being programmatically constrained by her creator she creates mesmerizing images with great detail. As she has no knowledge of the real world her paintings often carry a surreal touch with sometimes absurd content.
